Kings Kids Village

(add photo of home)

Kings Kids Village is a new children's home in Nairobi, Kenya.  Paul and Eleanor Stern started the home in 2004 as a result of the need for loving homes for Kenya's AIDS orphans. They are looking to provide a family environment for the children and give them a home they can grow up in if they are not adopted. The unique aspect to their home is that they have house parents in each 'apartment'. The first building that has been built has 4 family size apartments in it. Married Christian house parents dedicate to living at Kings Kids Village and up to 8 children are placed in their family unit. The home takes children from 3-10 years old at intake. However, there is no age limit upon which the children must leave. This is important as we are seeing a growing numbr of sibling groups being left orphaned. By having a wide range of ages that they can take children in at and having not age that they age out of the home (some homes an only keep children until they become teenagers or toddlers), sibling groups will be able to be kept together.
